Job summary

CB&I Asset Solutions in the United Arab Emirates invites applications for the Lead – Commercial based in Sharjah. You will lead commercial and contractual activities from pre-qualification and bidding through contract award and post-award delivery.

You will coordinate bid governance, negotiate client contracts and manage risks, including indemnities, warranties and KPIs, in collaboration with Legal, Finance and Compliance while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law, Commerce, Quantity Surveying or related discipline; legal background desirable.
• Extensive commercial or contracts experience in energy, oil and gas, engineering, construction or industrial services.
• Experience leading client negotiations, risk reviews, claims, disputes and complex commercial agreements.
• Experience across pre-award and post-award activities including governance, approvals and handovers.
• MENA experience and cross-border contracting exposure desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and contractual activities from pre-qualification and bidding through contract award and post-award delivery.
• Lead review, qualification and negotiation of client contracts, ensuring material risks are identified and documented.
• Coordinate bid governance, commercial strategy and risk reviews with Legal, Compliance, Tax, Insurance, Finance and operations.
• Ensure client obligations flow down to partners, vendors and subcontractors, including during bid-stage commitments and award.
• Lead negotiations of partnering and ancillary agreements including MOUs, NDAs, LOIs, novations and joint venture or consortium agreements.
• Support regional entities and contracting structures with Legal, Secretariat, Tax and Compliance.
• Oversee contract handover, post-award risk and opportunity management and commercial controls.
