Job summary

WSP in the United Arab Emirates seeks a seasoned Commercial Lead to join landmark construction projects. You will lead post-contract commercial activities, oversee cost control, budgeting and forecasting, and administer contracts on site.

You will manage changes, variations and claims, monitor progress, and drive timely final accounts while ensuring contract compliance, strong leadership, analytical thinking and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
15 years of experience leading structural engineering teams on construction sites.
In-depth knowledge of structural codes, standards, and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Lead post-contract commercial activities for assigned projects.
Manage cost control, budgeting, and forecasting aligned with delivery targets.
Administer contracts and subcontracts, including payments, variations, claims, and final accounts.
Evaluate and manage changes in scope, ensuring timely submission of variations and claims.
Monitor project progress and assess financial impact of delays and disruptions.
Conduct regular commercial reporting.
Ensure compliance with contract terms and legal requirements.
Facilitate dispute resolution and manage claim submissions where necessary.
