Job summary

Penspen is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer (Offshore) based in the UAE, Abu Dhabi. The role involves leading the offshore structural activities and managing onshore support staff.

You will report to the Lead Civil/Structural Engineer (Offshore) and delegate tasks to the project team as required. Ideal candidates have extensive offshore project experience, strong knowledge of civil/structural engineering, and PMC exposure.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering for offshore projects.
• PMC/PMT experience preferable.
• Knowledge of standards and procedures, e.g., oil & gas projects, is beneficial.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel is expected.
• Strong supervision and delegation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise onshore civil/structural personnel under his/her responsibility.
• Coordinate and manage offshore project activities under Lead Civil/Structural Engineer guidance.
• Oversee construction and commissioning phases where applicable.

Senior Civil/Structural Engineer(Offshore) Job Description

Penspen www.penspen.com looking for a Senior Structural Engineer, The position is based in UAE, Abu dhabi.

The Senior Structural Engineer (Offshore) may operate within the Core Engineering Team or PMT project team environment. The Senior Structural Engineer (Offshore) may have engineer grade onshore civil/structural personnel under his responsibility and will be tasked with their control and management and the delegation of activities to such support personnel. The Senior Structural Engineer (Offshore) may work under the supervision of a Lead Civil /Structural Engineer (Offshore) in which case his responsibilities will be as delegated.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills)

• At least Twelve (12) years of experience; Six (6) years of them within the field of Civil / Structural Engineering related to structures for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical Offshore projects.
• PMC experience at similar role for at least several years is preferable.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard and procedures/practices is beneficial.
• Previous exposure to construction and commissioning phases is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Computer literate with all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel proficient.
