Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a skilled Civil Estimator in Dubai to analyze drawings and prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects. You will perform quantity take-offs, evaluate subcontractor quotes, and coordinate with project managers to align estimates with project goals.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of estimating experience and strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of civil estimating or related construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials and codes.
• Proficient in estimating software (Bluebeam, Heavy Bid, Plan Swift, AutoCAD or similar).
• Strong mathematical, analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specs and docs to prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and stakeholders to align estimates with project goals.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project scope and conditions.
• Maintain and organize drawing files and related documents per company standards.
• Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, bid documents, and project proposals.
• Monitor cost trends and provide budgeting and forecasting feedback.
• Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
