Role Description

The Senior Civil Engineer will support SRJ ELITE CONTRACTING L. L. C’s development and investment projects by leading the planning, design, and technical review of civil engineering works for residential and commercial properties. This full-time, on-site role in Dubai involves preparing and overseeing site layouts, infrastructure designs, and stormwater management plans, ensuring compliance with local regulations and engineering standards. The Senior Civil Engineer will coordinate with architects, contractors, and consultants, review drawings and technical reports, and provide expert input during feasibility studies and due diligence for new acquisitions. Responsibilities include monitoring construction progress, resolving engineering issues, optimizing designs for cost, safety, and sustainability, and contributing to project timelines and budgeting. The role also requires mentoring junior engineers, maintaining accurate project documentation, and supporting the company’s strategic decision-making with technical assessments.

Qualifications

Strong Civil Engineering Design skills with proven experience in site development, infrastructure, and structural coordination. Professional Civil Engineering background, with experience working as part of multidisciplinary teams of Civil Engineers on construction HIGH RISE commercial and residential projects for more than 10 years of progressive experience. Experience in Planning, including project scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of engineering activities across multiple sites. Expertise in raft, foundation, structure, architectural drawings, stormwater management, drainage design, and related hydraulic calculations in compliance with UAE and local Dubai regulations. Solid foundation in Civil Engineering principles, standards, and codes relevant to urban development and real estate projects. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., Chartered/PE or equivalent) is an advantage. Proficiency with engineering and design software (e.g., Auto CAD, Civil 3D, drainage and hydrology tools) and strong technical reporting skills. Knowledge of UAE building codes, infrastructure regulations, and permitting processes, particularly within Dubai. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on safety and quality
