Job summary

Black Pearl Consult is seeking a Structural/Bridges Inspector in Dubai to oversee long-span prestressed bridge construction and large-diameter pile foundations, ensuring compliance with design specs, approved methods, and contract requirements while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• 7+ years of experience in the construction or O&M of bridges and interchanges.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills for effective coordination with contractors, inspectors, and engineers.
• Solid understanding of construction site safety procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect site conditions to confirm suitability for the designed permanent works.
• Provide practical advice on construction-related matters to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Monitor and inspect construction and temporary works for compliance with approved methods and contractual requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, executed works, and relevant project documentation.
• Supervise and direct other inspectors to ensure performance standards and project requirements are met.
• Assist in measuring completed work for progress verification and billing purposes.
• Enforce and observe site safety procedures at all times.
• Support in the preparation and review of as-built drawings.
• Inspect completed works, prepare snag lists, and assist in handover to the operating authority.
