Job summary

Black Pearl Consult in Dubai is seeking a highly skilled Material Engineer to oversee the quality of construction materials for major infrastructure projects. You will monitor material testing, approve sources, and implement QC procedures in line with project specs and industry standards.

The role requires hands-on testing, coordination with inspectors and contractors, and ensuring timely sampling, testing, and reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
8+ years of experience in construction of bridges, roads, infrastructure.
RTA or Dubai Central Laboratory approval mandatory.
Proven experience in materials engineering and QA/QC within construction.
Knowledge of laboratory and field-testing procedures for construction materials.

Responsibilities

Witness all laboratory and in-situ tests performed by contractor or third-party labs.
Prepare and manage material samples for testing per project specifications.
Coordinate with Work Inspectors to confirm approvals for testing.
Ensure timely and accurate sampling and testing to prevent delays.
Inspect delivered materials to confirm compliance with approved sources.
Participate in QC/QA activities to maintain project standards.
Review and approve material testing reports for acceptance.
Enforce site safety procedures during material handling and testing.
