Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience servicing laboratory analytical instruments from leading brands.
• UAE engineering registration or licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and calibrate laboratory analytical and diagnostic instruments at client sites.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across a wide range of laboratory equipment brands.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical faults; carry out repairs.
• Provide technical support and end-user training on instrument operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate service records, calibration logs, and technical documentation.
• Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams to source spare parts and technical resources.
• Ensure installations and maintenance comply with UAE regulatory and laboratory safety standards.
• Respond to client service requests and after-hours call-outs as required.

Position Title: Biomedical Engineer

Location: Dubai, UAE (Onsite)

Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent

Role Overview

Our Client is a well-established medical and surgical equipment trading company based in Dubai, seeking a highly skilled Senior Biomedical Engineer with hands-on experience across leading analytical and diagnostic instrument brands. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and technical support of laboratory equipment across client sites in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and calibrate laboratory analytical and diagnostic instruments at client sites.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across a wide range of laboratory equipment brands.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical faults; carry out prompt and effective repairs.
• Provide technical support and end-user training on instrument operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate service records, calibration logs, and technical documentation.
• Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams to source spare parts and technical resources.
• Ensure all installations and maintenance activities comply with UAE regulatory and laboratory safety standards.
• Respond promptly to client service requests and after-hour call-outs as required.

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
• Proven hands-on experience servicing laboratory analytical instruments from leading brands including Agilent, Thermo Fisher, Shimadzu, PerkinElmer, Beckman Coulter, Waters, Bio-Rad, Roche, Siemens, Mindray, Sysmex, or similar platforms.
• Strong diagnostic, calibration, and troubleshooting skills across analytical and diagnostic laboratory equipment.
• UAE engineering registration or licence is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills with a customer-first approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in the UAE. Those currently based in the UAE and available to join immediately will be given priority consideration.
