Engineering Contracting Company LLC is seeking a BIM Coordinator in Dubai to manage and coordinate BIM activities for architectural projects. The ideal candidate will lead a team and ensure effective collaboration with consultants and other disciplines.
This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, substantial experience in high-rise and large-scale projects, and strong technical abilities in BIM tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. Candidates must have demonstrated leadership experience and a solid grasp of UAE construction practices.
Coordinate with the BIM Manager, BIM Lead, and BIM Coordinator to ensure that architectural technical requirements are properly reflected in the BIM workflow and project digital deliverables. Support BIM coordination, model development, clash review, and construction‑stage coordination. Review BIM‑generated outputs from an architectural and constructability perspective, including coordinated plans, sections, details, schedules, and 3D views where required. Ensure that architectural shop drawings extracted from BIM models are technically correct, coordinated with site requirements, and aligned with the latest approved information. Assist in resolving coordination issues identified through BIM reviews, especially where architectural interfaces are affected by structure, MEP, façade, ID, or specialist trades. Attend BIM coordination meetings when architectural decisions, constructability matters, or technical clarifications are required to communicate architectural team comments and decisions to the BIM team for model updates.
Lead and manage the architectural technical office team, including architects, BIM modelers, and draftsmen. Distribute tasks, monitor team productivity, and ensure deliverables are submitted according to project priorities and approved schedules. Review architectural technical outputs before submission to the Technical Office Manager, consultant, or client.
Lead architectural coordination meetings with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams. Coordinate with structural and MEP teams to resolve interdisciplinary conflicts. Coordinate with procurement to ensure architectural materials, finishes, and long‑lead items are aligned with approved drawings and specifications.
Lead the preparation and review of architectural RFIs, CVIs, technical queries, and clarification sketches. Ensure RFIs are technically clear, contractually traceable, and supported with sketches, references, and recommended solutions where required.
Review architectural material submittals, technical submittals, samples, and mock‑up requirements. Ensure selected materials and finishes comply with project specifications, approved drawings, authority requirements, and design intent. Coordinate with procurement for technical evaluation of suppliers and subcontractors.
Ensure all architectural submissions are properly prepared, reviewed, numbered, and issued through the approved project CDE such as Asite, Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or any client‑mandated platform. Ensure engineering documents are exchanged through the approved internal and external submission workflows.
Provide technical support to site engineers and construction teams during execution. Resolve architectural site issues related to drawings, details, interfaces, materials, finishes, and coordination with other trades. Conduct site visits to verify technical compliance with approved shop drawings and specifications. Support QA/QC inspections by providing technical clarification and reviewing non‑conformance issues related to architectural works. Assist in resolving NCRs, site observations, consultant comments, and quality‑related architectural issues. Ensure that the latest approved drawings and technical documents are available to the site team. Monitor architectural work progress from a technical perspective and highlight risks that may impact approvals, procurement, or construction progress.
Strong leadership and team management capability, excellent communication and coordination skills, ability to manage pressure, deadlines, consultant comments, and site priorities. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, ability to mentor and develop architects and technical staff. Strong reporting, documentation, and follow‑up skills. Commercial awareness related to variations, procurement, quantities, and cost impact. Ability to negotiate technical solutions with consultants and subcontractors. High accountability, ownership, and attention to detail.
