Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UAE invites applications for an Automation and Control Engineer to design, implement, and maintain PLC/SCADA/DCS systems across projects. You will coordinate with engineering teams, clients, and vendors to deliver compliant, safe, and reliable control solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience with PLC/SCADA/DCS/HMI and industrial automation.
• Knowledge of Modbus, Profibus/Profinet, Ethernet/IP, or OPC.
• Ability to read P&IDs and electrical drawings.
• Experience in FAT/SAT and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and implement automation and control systems (PLC/SCADA/DCS/HMI).
• Prepare and review control system architecture, design specifications, and I/O lists.
• Develop PLC/DCS logic, interlocks, alarms, and HMI/SCADA configurations.
• Review P&IDs, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation layouts.
• Support hardware selection and vendor documentation for automation systems.
• Participate in FAT/SAT, commissioning, and system integration testing.
• Troubleshoot automation and control system issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation and lifecycle management of automation systems.
