Job summary

LeadingEdge HR Solutions is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, develop and implement control systems for industrial and mechanical applications in the UAE. You will program, configure, and maintain PLCs, SCADA systems and HMI panels, and conduct testing and commissioning with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a strong electrical/instrumentation background, excellent problem-solving and documentation skills, and the ability to work on site in the UAE with valid right to work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechatronics/Control Systems or related field.
• Must be based in UAE with valid work rights.

Responsibilities

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and implement control systems for industrial and mechanical applications
• Programme configure and maintain PLCs
• Programmable Logic Controllers
• SCADA Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems and HMI Human Machine Interface panels
• Conduct system testing commissioning and troubleshooting of control systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver projects on time and within scope
• Prepare technical documentation including control system specifications wiring diagrams and commissioning reports
• Identify and resolve control system faults and performance issues promptly
• Ensure all control systems comply with UAE safety standards and regulatory requirements

Required Experience amp Skills

• Proven experience as a Controls Engineer within the UAE or GCC region is mandatory
• Strong proficiency in PLC programming
• SCADA systems
• and HMI configuration
• Solid understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems
• Experience with industrial automation and control system integration
• Strong analytical problem-solving and technical documentation skills

Education & Eligibility

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Control Systems Engineering or a related discipline. Must be currently based in the UAE with valid residency and legal right to work.
