Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Group seeks an Automation and Control Engineer to design, implement, and maintain PLC/SCADA/DCS systems across projects in Abu Dhabi. You will develop control architectures, interlocks, alarms, and HMI configurations, reviewing P&IDs and wiring diagrams for safe operation.

Role requires FAT/SAT participation, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support, with strong collaboration across process, electrical, IT/OT teams to meet standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Automation/Instrumentation field.
• Experience with PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMI in engineering projects.
• Familiarity with FAT/SAT, testing and commissioning activities.
• Understanding of industrial automation safety and OT cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and implement automation and control systems (PLC/SCADA/DCS/HMI).
• Prepare control architecture, design specs, and I/O lists; review P&IDs and wiring diagrams.
• Develop PLC/DCS logic, interlocks, alarms, and HMI configurations; perform FAT/SAT.
• Troubleshoot automation issues and support system upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and ensure regulatory compliance.
