Job summary

Majid Al Futtaim is seeking an Area Manager for its Dubai retail operations. This multi-store leadership role drives commercial and operational performance, people development, and customer experience across a defined group of stores.

You will coach Store Managers, translate country plans into store-level actions, maintain regular performance reviews, and own area P&L to deliver results with accountability and integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business, Management or Retail Management.
• Minimum 8 years of retail experience.
• At least 3 years in a senior store, area or multi-site leadership role.
• Proven experience managing store performance and multi-site retail operations.
• Demonstrated P&L accountability.
• Experience leading and developing Store Managers and frontline teams.
• Strong understanding of customer service and retail operating standards.
• Experience managing performance through objectives, coaching, feedback and performance improvement plans.
• Ability to interpret commercial, inventory, margin and customer data.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and hold Store Managers accountable for area priorities and targets.
• Translate country and division plans into practical store-level actions.
• Maintain leadership visibility through store visits and performance reviews.
• Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Establish clear objectives for Store Managers and develop their capability.
• Support employee engagement and ensure frontline teams are heard and acted on.
• Manage performance improvement plans with clear timelines and coaching.
• Ensure consistent execution of merchandising, promotions and inventory standards.
• Drive customer experience and product freshness across the area.
