Job summary

Egis Group in Dubai seeks a seasoned Project Director to lead design development and delivery of landmark architectural projects. The role requires leading cross-functional teams, maintaining client relations, and ensuring quality across all stages from design through execution.

You will coordinate with PC/PM, manage dashboards and cost tracking, and drive strategic initiatives while mentoring staff and promoting high standards.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture (Bachelor’s or Master’s) from an accredited program is mandatory.
• A minimum of 19 years of experience in architectural design consultancy with at least 9 years of local (regional) experience.
• At least 9 of the 19 years must be in design development and documentation within an architectural consultancy practice including a minimum of 12 years in the role of Project Director.
• Proficient in CAD with a general understanding of BIM workflows and methodologies.
• Membership in CIOB or RIBA is preferred.
• Strong foundation in architectural principles with broad design/construction industry knowledge.
• Understanding of related disciplines including MEP, master planning, infrastructure, landscape, interior design, and other stakeholders.
• Familiarity with local/international building codes and materials standards.
• Experience managing large multidisciplinary design teams and high-profile international projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design development and delivery of projects, coordinating teams and resources.
• Develop dashboards, design management plans, and project execution strategies; monitor time and budget.
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder relations and address conflicts professionally.
• Lead quality management through QA/QC reviews and audits.
• Mentor and develop team members, driving KPI achievement and performance targets.
• Coordinate with other architectural practices to ensure delivery excellence and strategic oversight.
• Provide timely updates to accounts and support accurate invoicing and payment collections.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and manage deal execution with partners.
