Job summary

Artelia is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems for airport projects in the Middle East. You will coordinate power, lighting, control and monitoring systems with emphasis on safety, resilience and energy efficiency.

The role requires strong experience with ICAO/FAA standards, extensive AGL knowledge, and proficiency in ETAP, DIALux, AutoCAD, Revit and BIM coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum eight years of relevant electrical design experience, including airport AGL projects.
• Demonstrable experience in AGL systems, series circuits, CCRs, ALCMS, and airport power distribution interfaces.
• Proficiency with electrical and lighting design software such as ETAP, DIALux, AGi32 or equivalent, plus AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360 and multidisciplinary BIM coordination is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• AGL Planning & Design: runway, taxiway, and approach lighting systems design.
• Power & Utility Integration: design MV/LV networks, substations, standby generators, UPS, and apron floodlighting.
• Engineering Analytics: run photometric, load, voltage-drop, and short-circuit studies.
• BIM & Digital Coordination: drive 3D electrical modeling and resolve clashes in a CDE.
• Compliance & Safety: ensure ICAO, FAA, IEC standards adherence and 24/7 airfield operations.
• Procurement & Delivery: prepare tender packages, review bids, lead site testing/commissioning.
• Next-Gen Engineering: leverage AI-assisted option studies and data verification.
