Job summary

Artelia in Dubai seeks a Senior Special Airport Systems Engineer to lead planning, design and integration of PCA, 400 Hz GPU, VDGS and PBB systems across major airport projects. You will coordinate across civil, structural, electrical and operations teams, ensuring ICAO/IATA standards and energy-efficient, safe solutions.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM tools, plus AI-assisted workflows, is highly valued for delivering robust, maintainable systems on time.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering or related discipline.
12+ years of experience in airport special systems and aircraft stand equipment.
Experience delivering PCA, 400 Hz GPU, VDGS and PBB systems on major airport developments.
Knowledge of ICAO, IATA, EN, SAE and ISO standards for airport systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; BIM/3D tools advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, design, and specification of airport stand equipment and fixed ground service systems.
Develop system layouts, calculations, technical reports, specifications and tender docs.
Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces with civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and operations teams.
Ensure compliance with ICAO, IATA, airport standards and industry best practices.
Support procurement, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
Drive innovation through digital engineering, BIM coordination and AI-assisted workflows.
Manage technical quality, design risks, stakeholder coordination and programme commitments.
