Job summary

EDGE is seeking an Engineer – Advanced Aerodynamics & Propulsion in Abu Dhabi to drive the aerodynamic, thermodynamic, and architectural development of next-generation propulsion systems. This role spans concepts from high-speed propulsion to novel engine architectures, translating aerodynamic insights into system-level decisions.

The candidate will contribute to feasibility studies, down-select design options, and validate models through testing and correlation with empirical data.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or related field) with focus on aerodynamics or propulsion.
• 7+ years of experience in aerospace or advanced propulsion systems.
• Hands-on experience with Python for modeling, automation, and data processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate new propulsion concepts using physics-based modeling.
• Lead preliminary cycle analyses and trade studies (thrust, SFC, weight, thermal limits).
• Build tools for early-stage architecture assessment and translate flow analyses to system-level impacts.
