Job summary

EDGE, headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, seeks a Turbofan Performance Engineer for POWERTECH in Abu Dhabi. You will perform thermodynamic cycle analysis to support turbofan architecture design, optimization, and validation throughout development from concept to certification and in-service support.

Responsibilities include developing engine cycle models, defining operating envelopes, interfacing with aircraft performance teams, optimizing SFC and thrust, and supporting tests.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Aerospace engineering, Turbomachinery, or Fluid Dynamics.
• 8+ years of turbofan architecture and performance experience.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain engine thermodynamic cycle models.
• Define engine deck and operating envelopes and targets.
• Interface with aircraft performance team.
• Optimize SFC, thrust, thermal efficiency and operability.
• Advise on architecture design.
• Support system integration and ensure overall engine performance.
• Support test activities and instrumentation plan; participate in engine test analysis.
