Job summary

EDGE is seeking a System Architect and Integration lead for POWERTECH propulsion, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will define and maintain the global system architecture of turbofan engines and ensure coherence across propulsion subsystems.

You will lead trade-offs, manage ICDs, and collaborate with Product Management, Certification and Safety teams to deliver high-performance, compliant propulsion solutions in a multicultural, fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in turbofan propulsion or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of turbofan architectures and test plan validation.
• Strong knowledge of system engineering and MBSE (SysML, V-Cycle).
• Knowledge of certification scheme (CS-E) and safety principles (FHA, PSSA).
• Exposure to customers, OEMs, authorities and complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and support the functional architecture and system breakdown to ensure performance compliance of the product (engine, propulsion sub-system).
• Allocate and manage system-level requirements.
• Lead trade-offs between performance, cost, weight, and durability.
• Manage and Maintain interface control documents (ICDs, FICDs).
• Ensure architectural consistency throughout development phases and in interface with Product Management line, Module Manager, Certification and Safety engineers, Integration & Test teams.
