Job summary

ENI UAE is seeking an Accountant (UAE nationals only) under the Emiratisation Programme to manage accounts payable, vendor invoicing, and three-way matching using SAP. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and strong Excel skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

The successful candidate will contribute to month-end/year-end closings, support audits, and drive process improvements while working in a team environment in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements
• Experience with ERP systems e.g. SAP Oracle
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to interpret complex financial and operational data
• Strong problem-solving and process-improvement skills
• Excellent communication skills with strong written and verbal English proficiency
• Strong planning organisational and time-management skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely using SAP
• Perform three-way matching of POs, goods receipts и invoices
• Verify invoice accuracy and obtain approvals prior to payment
• Prepare and process vendor payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor ageing reports and follow up on outstanding invoices
• Coordinate with procurement and other departments to resolve issues
• Ensure compliance with policies, controls, and tax regulations
• Support month-end/year-end closing including accruals and reconciliations
• Assist audits by providing required documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and efficiency
• Prepare reports and analyses related to accounts payable for management
