Job summary

Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa in Dubai, UAE, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations, financial reporting, and VAT compliance within project-based contexts.

You will handle AP/AR/GL, bank reconciliations, budgeting support, and monthly/quarterly/annual statements, working closely with auditors and management.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years UAE accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and proficiency in SAP/QuickBooks/Tally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years UAE accounting experience.
• Experience in project-based, contracting, or service-providing companies.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
• Proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
• Candidates must be currently available in the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities.
• Handle bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, quotation preparation, and maintenance of financial records.
• Manage project accounting activities, including cost tracking, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Monitor project expenses and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accurate reconciliation of bank statements and company accounts.
• Support UAE VAT compliance and assist with VAT filing processes.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Prepare financial reports and assist management with financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
