Job summary

Blue Ocean Corporation in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, seeks a Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end financial processes and ensure VAT compliance. The role requires strong UAE accounting knowledge, ERP experience, and attention to detail in reporting to management and auditors.

You will oversee accounts payable/receivable, month-end closing, bank reconciliations, and statutory filings, coordinating with banks, suppliers, and internal teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, with ≥2 years in a senior role.
• Native Arabic speaker with strong English communication skills.
• Proven UAE accounting practices, VAT and financial reporting experience.
• Full-cycle accounting including AP/AR, GL, reconciliations and month-end closing.
• Experience preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT compliance and VAT returns.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions: AP, AR, receipts, payments, and journals.
• Prepare invoices, vouchers, receipts, and financial documents.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer and ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor outstanding receivables/payables and follow up timely.
• Assist with monthly closing, financial reports and management reporting.
• Maintain documentation of all accounting transactions.
• Assist UAE VAT returns and ensure VAT compliance.
• Coordinate with banks, suppliers, customers and internal teams.
• Assist payroll accounting activities as required.
• Support audits with required financial records.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and UAE regulations.
