Job summary

athGADLANG in Dubai seeks a proactive Accountant to support daily accounting operations, month-end closings, and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes accurate ledgers, journal entries, reconciliations, and management reporting with VAT awareness.

The candidate will collaborate with auditors and stakeholders, ensuring strict adherence to accounting policies. 3–6 years of experience and a relevant degree are required; ACCA/CPA qualifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 3–6 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in automotive, leasing, rental, trading, or service industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
• ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records and post transactions to the general ledger.
• Prepare journal entries with proper documentation.
• Perform bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable and supplier payments.
• Support accounts receivable and assist with aging.
• Assist month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
• Prepare management reports and financial statements.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
• Prepare VAT schedules and support tax compliance.
• Liaise with auditors and provide supporting documentation.
• Monitor internal controls and accounting policies.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required.
