Job summary

NADIA Recruitment & Management Consultants in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 10+ years in accounting, strong ERP and MS Excel skills, and professional certifications such as ACCA or CPA are a plus. Arabic language proficiency is preferred but not mandatory.

• Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial forecasting.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Accounting & Financial Management: day-to-day accounting, general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, monthly/quarterly/annual closings.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: prepare financial statements and management reports; analyze variances and advise management.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: assist in annual budgets and forecasts; monitor performance against budgets.
• Audit & Compliance: coordinate with internal/external auditors; ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• General Finance Responsibilities: support strategic initiatives and improve accounting processes.

Job Summary:

One of our clients in Abu Dhabi is looking for Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Key Responsibilities
  1. Accounting & Financial Management
  Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
  Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
  Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and financial regulations.
  2. Financial Reporting & Analysis
  Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide recommendations to management.
  Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance indicators.
  Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting.
  3. Budgeting & Forecasting
  Assist in developing annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
  Monitor actual financial performance against approved budgets.
  Conduct variance analysis and highlight potential financial risks.
  Provide financial insights to support management decision-making and business planning.
  4. Audit & Compliance
  Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
  Ensure compliance with applicable financial reporting standards and statutory requirements.
  Strengthen internal financial controls and recommend process improvements.
  Ensure proper documentation and adherence to financial procedures.
  5. General Finance Responsibilities
  Support financial planning and strategic business initiatives.
  Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
  Coordinate with other departments on financial matters.
  Handle additional finance and accounting responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements:
