Job summary

Tanqeeb seeks a senior accountant to join our Finance team in Dubai. You will manage ledgers, prepare financial statements, and perform reconciliations across AP/AR, banks, and intercompany accounts. Immediate joining is preferred.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with 4–6+ years in manufacturing accounting, strong UAE VAT/Corporate Tax knowledge, and expertise in Excel and ERP systems. You’ll contribute to budgeting and financial analysis while ensuring compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 4–6+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting, VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
• Practical experience with Corporate Tax compliance and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
• Experience with ERP systems is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounts and ensure accurate accounting entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Analyze account balances and financial variances and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate fixed asset registers, depreciation, and asset reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and companypolicies.
• Support VAT/tax calculations, filings, and reconciliations, where applicable.
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors and provide support documentation.
• Maintain proper accounting documentation and records for audit purposes.
• Monitor and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Review the work of junior accountants and provide guidance and training.
• Assist the Finance Manager with financial analysis and decision-making.
• Identify accounting errors, process improvements, and opportunities to improve financialcontrols.
