Job summary

Consultant Engneers LLC in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Accountant to manage general accounting, reconcile accounts, and support month-end closings.

Ideal candidates bring UAE engineering-industry accounting experience, IFRS/IAS knowledge, and proficiency with Deltek ERP and advanced Excel; strong English communication is required.

Qualifications

• MS Degree in Accounting.
• Certificate equalized from ministry of education.
• ACCA / CMA / CPA certifications add value.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience.
• Proven accounting experience in an engineering practice.
• Understanding of IAS and IFRS.
• Hands-on with ERP accounting software (Deltek).
• Advanced MS Excel with VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Strong English communication; Arabic knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily accounting operations including verification and posting of accounts.
• Reconcile balances and bank statements; maintain general ledger.
• Prepare month-end closing procedures and reports.
• Assist with audits and VAT/Income tax tasks.
• Produce accurate accounting reports and forecasts.

Job Description

The Accountant will be responsible for general accounting operations and verifying our financial transactions. Responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger, and preparing month-end closing procedures. The candidate must have excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Daily, Verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare sales invoices and follow up with collections.
• Deep checking of financial transactions and documents
• Maintain a proper filing system for accounting documents.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closing reports.
• Cooperate with internal and external audits to ensure compliance
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns (VAT & Income)
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns filing within time.
• Producing error-free accounting reports and presenting their results.
• Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status
• Compliance with IFRS & IAS principles

Job Requirements

• MS Degree in Accounting.
• Certificate equalized from ministry of education
• Relevant certification (e.g. ACCA - CMA or CPA) added value
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with emphasis on UAE experience
• Proven experience as accountant in Engineering Practice is a must
• Understanding of International Accounting Standards, (IAS) and (IFRS)
• Hands‑on experience with accounting software packages ERP; specially Deltek
• Advance MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, Arabic or other Language is advantage.
