Job summary

SO/ Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a seasoned Security Supervisor to lead the on-site security team and oversee CCTV, access control, and alarm systems. You will respond to incidents, coordinate emergency response, and work with other departments to protect guests and staff.

The role requires 3–5 years in security with two years in a supervisory capacity, preferably in luxury hospitality, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in security with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in hospitality or luxury.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent; additional security management qualifications are a plus.
• Strong leadership, crisis management, and communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of CCTV, access control, alarms; ability to generate clear reports.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the security team to high performance and adherence to procedures.
• Oversee daily operations of CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
• Respond to security incidents or emergencies; investigate and report findings.
• Monitor CCTV and conduct regular patrols to detect risks or breaches.
• Maintain a visible presence to ensure guest and staff safety and provide guidance as needed.
• Lead emergency response during evacuations and drills with compliance to safety protocols.
• Provide on‑the‑job training to security personnel on procedures and best practices.
• Maintain logs of incidents and prepare regular management reports.
• Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk for comprehensive security.
• Ensure security systems are functioning and report malfunctions for repair.
• Ensure compliance with local security laws, policies, and industry best practices.

• Team Leadership: Supervise and lead the security team, ensuring all security personnel are well-trained, follow procedures, and perform their duties to the highest standard.
• Security Operations: Oversee the daily operations of security systems, including surveillance, access control, and alarm systems, to ensure the safety and security of the property.
• Incident Management: Respond quickly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, or disturbances. Investigate and document incidents, preparing reports and taking appropriate follow-up action.
• Monitoring & Surveillance: Monitor CCTV systems, alarm systems, and conduct regular patrols to detect any potential security risks or breaches.
• Guest and Staff Safety: Maintain a visible presence on the property to ensure the safety and well-being of guests and staff. Provide assistance and guidance to both employees and guests when needed.
• Emergency Response: Lead emergency response procedures during evacuations, first-aid events, and fire drills, ensuring that all staff and guests adhere to safety protocols.
• Training & Development: Provide on-the-job training and guidance to security personnel to ensure they remain updated on procedures, emergency protocols, and best security practices.
• Incident Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of all security-related incidents, suspicious activities, and accidents, and prepare regular reports for management.
• Collaboration with Departments: Work closely with other departments such as housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk to ensure the security of all areas, particularly high-risk zones and special events.
• Security Systems Maintenance: Ensure that all security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms) are functioning properly, and report any malfunctions to the appropriate department for repair.
• Compliance with Security Procedures: Ensure the property complies with all relevant local security laws and regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent; further qualifications in security management or related fields are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in security, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably within the hospitality or luxury industry.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and managing a security team, ensuring high performance and adherence to security protocols.
• Crisis Management: Ability to handle security crises with professionalism and calm, leading the team effectively during emergencies.
• Knowledge of Security Systems: Strong working knowledge of CCTV, access control systems, alarm systems, and general security procedures.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create reports, communicate effectively with team members, and interact with guests and employees.
• Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for detecting security risks and potential hazards, along with a strong focus on following up on every security concern.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent ability to analyze security situations, make quick decisions, and implement effective solutions.
