As a Section Manager – Electrical, you will be responsible for managing electrical installation works within an assigned area, driving productivity, quality and safety while ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, programme requirements, QA/QC standards and project procedures.
You will play a key role in coordinating site teams, subcontractors, engineering, procurement, QA/QC and commissioning teams to ensure the successful delivery of mission‑critical electrical systems.

About Your Team
You will lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary site delivery team, working closely with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, QA/QC, engineering and commissioning teams.
Your team will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of electrical works, ensuring installation activities are properly planned, coordinated and delivered in line with programme and quality expectations.
Your Role
As a Section Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Issuing daily/weekly installation plans, region/zone/trade allowable, and progress feedback to the delivery team.
- Briefing and enforcing Method Statements, Risk Assessments and DSTI schedules; keeping all documentation current on the project platform.
- Tracking material deliveries with Project Engineers, ensuring items reach central or site stores in time for planned works.
- Distributing only approved drawings/specifications to site and escape scope changes promptly through Change Management Control.
- Maintaining accurate site records of constraints, resources, tooling and consumables, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors to secure access and deliveries.
- Collecting and reporting staff‑and‑labour performance data, KPIs and efficiency metrics each month.
- Promoting safe working practices, a zero‑defect mindset and adherence to project book guidelines.
- Supporting testing, commissioning, spares and warranty schedules in collaboration with engineering and QA/QC teams.
- Providing regular updates to the Construction Manager on progress, risks and mitigation actions.
- Performing other duties reasonably required to meet project and business objectives.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of electrical construction / MEP experience, preferably on major building, infrastructure or mission‑critical projects.
- Proven experience managing electrical installation works at Section Manager, Senior Project Engineer, Construction Manager or equivalent level.
- Ideally 2–3 years of senior‑level UAE experience with strong knowledge of local construction practices and regulations.
- Previous experience on data centre, mission‑critical, industrial or technically complex projects would be highly advantageous.
- Strong exposure to electrical systems such as LV/MV distribution, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS, ATS, busduct, containment, lighting, earthing and associated electrical infrastructure.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical installation, testing and commissioning requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, inspections, testing requirements and handover processes.
- Ability to manage programme, productivity, resources, technical requirements and site constraints.
- Strong leadership and team‑management skills.
- Excellent communication, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced project environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience delivering electrical systems within data centre or mission‑critical environments.
- Familiarity with BIM‑enabled field‑management and coordination tools.
- Experience with data‑driven reporting, dashboards and productivity metrics.
- Knowledge of Lean construction principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Strong knowledge of UAE electrical regulations, authority requirements and applicable international standards.
