Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer (Site Supervision) to oversee electrical installations on-site, ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications, and coordinate with contractors, vendors and project teams to deliver high-quality work on schedule and within budget.

You will conduct daily site inspections, manage testing and commissioning, prepare technical reports, mentor on-site staff, and maintain detailed documentation while upholding UAE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in electrical engineering with at least 3 years in site supervision or project management.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems installations and equipment.
• Proficiency with electrical design software and project management tools.
• In-depth understanding of electrical codes safety standards and regulations applicable in the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect electrical installations equipment and systems to ensure they meet design specifications and local UAE electrical codes and standards
• Conduct daily site inspections and prepare comprehensive technical reports documenting progress issues and corrective actions
• Coordinate with electrical contractors vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and timely project completion
• Analyze electrical drawings specifications and technical documentation to identify potential issues and recommend solutions
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols environmental regulations and occupational health standards on-site
• Manage electrical testing commissioning and troubleshooting of systems and equipment
• Maintain detailed project documentation including daily logs inspection records and compliance certifications
• Communicate effectively with project managers engineers and stakeholders regarding site progress and technical matters
• Identify and resolve technical challenges through analytical problem-solving and collaborative decision-making
• Train and mentor on-site personnel on electrical safety procedures and best practices
• Monitor project budgets and resource allocation related to electrical work
