Job summary

Jex Recruitment is partnering with a leading semi-government organisation in the UAE to appoint an experienced Board Secretary. The successful candidate will support the Board of Directors, ensure strong corporate governance, regulatory compliance and effective board operations.

The role requires a legal background with fluency in Arabic and English, and prior governance experience within a large corporate or government-linked group.

Qualifications

• Legal background essential, ideally with a degree in Law.
• Fluent Arabic and English (written and spoken).
• Previous experience as a Board Secretary or senior governance role.
• Experience within a large corporate group, publicly listed company or government-linked organisation.
• Strong understanding of UAE corporate governance regulations and board procedures.
• High level of discretion, professionalism and confidentiality.

• Manage and coordinate Board of Directors and committee meetings, including agendas, minutes, resolutions and follow-up actions.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance frameworks, regulatory requirements and internal policies.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Board of Directors, ensuring strong corporate governance, regulatory compliance and effective board operations.
