Core Duties
- Teach science lessons effectively in line with school curriculum expectations and student learning needs.
- Coordinate science curriculum planning, lesson preparation, assessment schedules, and departmental teaching resources.
- Support teachers in delivering engaging, practical, and concept-based science lessons.
- Assist in the development and review of schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment tools.
- Monitor student progress and help identify learning gaps, intervention needs, and academic improvement areas.
- Support assessment planning, review student performance data, and contribute to targeted improvement strategies.
- Promote inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, scientific investigation, problem-solving, and practical application of science concepts.
- Ensure science teaching aligns with British Curriculum standards where applicable.
- Support laboratory-based learning, safe practical activities, and effective use of science resources.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management, student engagement, academic discipline, and learning quality.
- Coordinate with school leadership, teachers, and faculty members to improve science department outcomes.
- Encourage students to develop curiosity, observation skills, analytical thinking, and confidence in science learning.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, professional development, and school improvement activities.
- Maintain accurate academic records, assessment reports, curriculum documents, and student progress documentation.
- Follow school policies related to safeguarding, inclusion, student wellbeing, health and safety, and professional conduct.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Science is required.
- B.Ed. qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in a similar science teaching or coordination role is mandatory.
- Experience in British Curriculum schools is preferred.
- Immediate availability to join is required.
- Strong science subject knowledge with the ability to teach and coordinate curriculum delivery effectively.
- Good understanding of lesson planning, assessment practices, student progress tracking, and curriculum standards.
- Ability to support teachers and contribute to departmental improvement.
