• Strong knowledge of Science curriculum planning, classroom delivery, assessment methods, and academic tracking.
• Ability to support Science teaching across Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or general Science areas as required.
• Confident in guiding teachers, reviewing student progress, and contributing to department improvement plans.
• Good classroom management skills with the ability to create focused and active learning environments.
• Must be available to join immediately.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Science teaching plans, curriculum delivery, assessment schedules, and department activities across assigned grade levels.
• Teach Science lessons that encourage curiosity, investigation, scientific reasoning, and clear understanding of key concepts.
• Support teachers with lesson preparation, classroom strategies, differentiated instruction, and effective use of learning resources.
• Help maintain consistent academic standards in Science teaching, student assessment, feedback, and progress monitoring.
• Review schemes of work, unit plans, practical activities, and assessment tasks to ensure alignment with curriculum expectations.
• Work with school leaders to support academic improvement targets and strengthen Science learning outcomes.
• Analyze student performance data to identify gaps, plan interventions, and recommend support or enrichment strategies.
• Encourage safe, meaningful, and well-managed practical Science learning in classrooms and laboratory settings.
• Support assessment moderation, marking consistency, exam preparation, and feedback quality across the department.
• Guide teachers in building stronger student engagement through inquiry-based learning, demonstrations, experiments, and applied activities.
• Maintain accurate records of planning documents, assessment results, student progress, department reports, and academic follow-up.
• Communicate clearly with teachers, coordinators, parents, and leadership teams on student progress and department priorities.
• Contribute to staff collaboration, department meetings, resource development, and school academic initiatives.
• Carry out additional Science coordination and teaching-related duties assigned by the school leadership team.
