Role Context

The teacher supports student learning across language development, reading, writing, scientific understanding, inquiry skills, and classroom engagement. Responsibilities include strong lesson planning, assessment knowledge, differentiated teaching, and creating a positive learning environment to develop communication skills, scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and academic confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English and Science lessons aligned with British curriculum standards and school academic expectations.
• Teach English language skills: reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, comprehension, and creative expression.
• Teach Science concepts through observation, investigation, inquiry-based learning, practical activities, and age-appropriate scientific discussion.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, learning resources, assessments, classroom activities, and digital materials to support student learning.
• Use differentiated teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with varied abilities, learning styles, and academic levels.
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, curiosity, creativity, and active classroom participation.
• Assess student progress through classwork, homework, projects, quizzes, tests, practical tasks, and formative assessment methods.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate records of progress, attainment, behaviour, attendance, and classroom performance.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Science, Education, or a related subject.
• B.Ed qualification – mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in a similar teaching role – mandatory.
• Experience in British curriculum schools – preferred.
• Strong subject knowledge in English and Science.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, lesson planning, and assessment skills.
• Ability to teach students using engaging, age-appropriate, and differentiated learning strategies.
