The resource will assess journeys, automations, data extensions and SQL scripts, translate requirements into SFMC solutions, redevelop emails and Journey Builder workflows, and implement AMPscript/SQL/SSJS with API

Background & Objective:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Developer to provide temporary delivery support for the migration of one of Emirates Airline’s largest automated customer communication programs. The migration is driven by changes to the company’s loyalty platform and product proposition and will require substantial redevelopment of automated marketing emails, journeys, data processes and associated integrations.

The program operates within a complex SFMC environment and currently comprises approximately around 4,000 automations running across email programs and data and over 50 marketing automation journeys with communications personalized at a one-to-one customer level. The successful resource will work as part of a high-performing, experienced team and will develop, test and deploy email communications in Marketing Cloud under the direction of the Customer Strategy & Retention Operations team and its technical leads.

What will the resource do:

• Assess existing journeys, automations, email assets, data extensions, SQL queries, scripts and integrations affected by the loyalty-platform change.
• Translate approved business and technical requirements into robust SFMC solutions.
• Redevelop and configure personalized emails, Journey Builder journeys and Automation Studio workflows.
• Build and maintain AMPscript, SQL, Server-Side Java Script, HTML/CSS and API integrations as required.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable and aligned with the existing SFMC architecture.
• API integration working with REST APIs and third-party systems.
• Design and implement data validation, transformation and enrichment processes to ensure data quality and consistency. Handling complex data structures, formats and business rules, including troubleshooting data issues and exceptions.
• Complete developer testing, support system and business acceptance testing, resolve defects and provide evidence of successful validation.
• Support release planning, deployment, production validation and post-release troubleshooting.
• Maintain clear technical documentation, configuration records and handover materials.
• Provide transparent progress updates and proactively manage delivery risks, dependencies and blockers.
