Job summary

Siemens Digital Industries is looking for a Sales Specialist - Core Automation in Dubai to combine hands-on automation expertise with a consultative approach, supporting pre-sales activities and helping customers select solutions that address industrial challenges.

You will work with cross‑functional teams across the Middle East, travel up to 20% of time, and apply knowledge of PLCs, HMI, SCADA and TIA Portal, while communicating in English and delivering clear technical value.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of relevant industrial project experience in automation.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMI, SCADA, and TIA Portal.
• Understanding of OT networking and IIoT in industrial environments.
• Excellent written and spoken English; ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Collaborative team player across functions, countries and partners.
• Willingness to travel within the Middle East (<20%).

Join our Digital Industries team as a Sales Specialist - Core Automation, based in Dubai and supporting customers across the Middle East. You will combine hands‑on automation expertise with a consultative approach to provide pre‑sales technical support, demonstrate product value and help customers select solutions that address their industrial challenges.

Your success is grounded in — essential qualifications:

• 5–6 years of relevant industrial project experience, with practical exposure to automation system engineering, integration, testing or commissioning.
• Strong technical knowledge of Siemens programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human‑machine interfaces (HMI), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), TIA Portal and related automation products.
• A sound understanding of operational technology (OT) networking and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies, including connectivity and integration in industrial environments.
• Good written and spoken English, strong presentation skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively within a team and across functions, countries and partner organisations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, a customer‑focused mindset and the ability to organise and follow through on multiple technical engagements.
• Willingness to travel within the Middle East, with travel expected to account for less than 20% of working time.

Additional qualifications that would be an advantage:

• Familiarity with edge and cloud computing concepts and their integration with industrial systems.
• Understanding of OT cybersecurity principles and secure industrial connectivity.
• Programming knowledge in Python, C#, JavaScript or comparable languages.
