Overview of the Role
The Sales Executive will develop new revenue opportunities for FAMCO Used Business by identifying customers and markets for a diverse portfolio of multi-brand used commercial vehicles and industrial equipment. The position requires a strong business development approach combined with practical knowledge of used assets. The successful candidate will understand customer applications, recommend appropriate equipment based on specifications, condition, age, and budget, and structure commercially viable transactions that support sales, gross margin, revenue, and stock turnover objectives.
Business Development and Market Expansion
- Identify and develop new business-to-business customers across the UAE and international markets.
- Expand regional and export sales opportunities for used commercial vehicles and equipment.
- Conduct regular prospecting, customer visits, and market-mapping activities.
- Develop relationships with fleet operators, contractors, transport companies, traders, rental businesses, equipment operators, and export customers.
- Identify new territories, customer segments, and alternative sales channels.
- Open new customer accounts and build a sustainable sales pipeline.
- Support movement of diverse and aged inventory by identifying suitable customers and markets.
Used Trucks and Equipment Sales
- Sell multi-brand used trucks, construction equipment, material handling equipment, and buses.
- Develop business through direct and export sales channels.
- Assess individual customer applications and operating requirements.
- Recommend appropriate units based on equipment specification, condition, age, application, and available budget.
- Apply relevant product knowledge when discussing heavy and medium-duty trucks and other equipment categories.
- Manage sales opportunities involving multiple brands rather than relying on a single-brand proposition.
Commercial Negotiation and Profitability
- Achieve monthly and annual sales objectives.
- Deliver agreed revenue and gross margin targets.
- Support required stock turnover levels.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery conditions, and transaction structures.
- Protect profitability while developing commercially competitive proposals.
- Manage long and complex business-to-business sales cycles through to closure.
- Monitor receivables and secure customer payments according to approved credit limits and commercial terms.
Transaction and Export Coordination
- Coordinate equipment inspections and customer quotations.
- Manage required transaction documentation.
- Work with relevant teams on logistics and equipment handover.
- Coordinate export transactions and cross-border requirements.
- Follow transactions through from initial opportunity to final delivery and payment.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support efficient deal completion.
Sales Pipeline and Market Intelligence
- Maintain an active and qualified sales pipeline.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and activity reports.
- Keep Customer Relationship Management records and customer information current.
- Provide market intelligence on customer requirements, pricing, demand, and sales opportunities.
- Monitor market developments relevant to used commercial vehicles and industrial equipment.

What Equips You for the Role
- Bachelor 's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum 3 years of business-to-business sales experience in used trucks, construction equipment, material handling equipment, buses, automotive, industrial equipment, or a closely related sector.
- Proven success developing new accounts and closing high-value business-to-business transactions.
- Used asset or capital equipment sales experience is highly preferred.
- International or regional sales experience is essential.
- Exposure to export customers, traders, or multiple geographic markets.
- Working knowledge of heavy and medium-duty trucks, construction equipment, material handling equipment, and-or buses.
- Experience selling multiple brands and product categories.
- Knowledge of regional and international used-equipment markets.
- Understanding of cross-border commercial documentation.
- Proven record of achieving sales and gross margin targets.
- Established customer relationships within the UAE, Gulf Cooperation Council, Africa, or relevant export markets are advantageous.
- Valid UAE driving license.
