Role Description

The Sales Engineer - Lighting Project Sales will play a key role in driving business growth within the UAE market by identifying, developing, and securing lighting project opportunities. This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise in LED lighting products, proven project sales experience, and the ability to foster long-term relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, and end clients. The successful candidate will serve as both a trusted advisor and a solution provider, bridging the gap between design intent and technical execution to deliver high quality, sustainable LED lighting products.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in the lighting projects sector across the UAE.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, architects, developers, and key decision-makers to maximize project potential.
• Actively promote the company’s LED lighting products, ensuring alignment with project specifications, sustainability requirements, and client expectations.
• Track project specifications with consultants and secure approvals for company products on tender and live projects.
• Prepare and deliver persuasive technical presentations, proposals, and quotations tailored to client needs.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contracts to successfully close sales and achieve assigned targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams (design, estimation, logistics, and after-sales) to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
• Deliver technical support and guidance throughout all project phases, from design concept to project handover.
• Conduct regular market intelligence to monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and industry innovations.
• Achieve sales, margin, and collection targets in line with business goals.
• Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to strengthen market presence and brand visibility.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and project pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies. Coordinate with Finance department for timely payments to freight forwarders.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and lighting solution design skills, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical or Electronics Engineering (preferred) or a related technical discipline
• 3-6 years of proven experience in LED lighting project sales within the UAE market. Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, customs regulations, and documentation.
• In-depth knowledge of LED lighting products, technologies, and design applications.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale lighting projects from initial concept through to order closure.
• Strong business development acumen with the ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
• Deep technical understanding of lighting concepts, photometrics, and product applications.
• Proficiency in lighting design and visualization software such as DIALux, Relux, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Competence in preparing lighting calculations, layouts, and compliance documentation.
• Familiarity with sustainable lighting practices and energy-efficient technologies.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret project specifications and technical requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM tools for reporting, pipeline management, and analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and work effectively under pressure.
