Job summary

J10 Consulting FZ LLE is seeking a well-experienced Safety Officer for a Dubai mid-rise residential project. You will support QHSE procedures, attend meetings, and help implement risk assessments on site.

Immediate joining for a 3–6 month outsourcing contract with the main contracting client. The ideal candidate holds NEBOSH certification, a Civil Engineering degree or diploma, and at least 5 years of construction project safety experience, including mid/high-rise Col.

Qualifications

• Minimum NEBOSH certification and 5 years of construction project experience.
• Experience as safety officer for main or civil contractors on mid/high-rise projects.
• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with safety procedures and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of QHSE procedures and standards.
• Attend QHSE meetings per client requirements.
• Develop and revise risk assessments and COSHH assessments.
• Evaluate QHSE performance and report to management.
• Conduct PTW audits and accommodation inspections.
• Assist with emergency drills and safety inductions.

Our Main Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Safety Officer to join their team in Dubai at a new mid rise residential project in the Emirate Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Safety Officer on major mid high rise projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of Safety Officer for a Main or Civil Contracting company previously This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3-6 month contract as an outsource employed by J10 Consulting strong

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of QHSE procedures policies and standards that form the Company QHSE Management System including review and possible revision
• Attending QHSE Meetings as per Clients and QHSE Management System requirements
• Assist relevant personnel in development implementation of documented processes where a need is identified
• Assist in the development revision of Risk Assessments and COSHH assessments wherever necessary
• Assisting Head of QHSE to evaluate QHSE performances such as inspections incident trainings working hours etc and reporting to the Top Management and or to any other relevant interested party
• Conduct periodic PTW Audits accommodation inspection
• Follow up the actions for identified discrepancies
• Assist in completing the emergency drills exercises as per the approved Emergency Exercise Drill plan
• Daily checks on workshops plants and work construction sites to ensure compliance with safety requirements
• Carry out QHSE refresher inductions for all the on-site personnel Visitor induction for all the contractors visitors visiting the project site

Safety Officer Experience

• Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or related preferred
• Minimum of NEBOSH certification and 5 years of construction project experienceat least 1+ years of experience as safety officer in recognised main contractors with mid and high rise project experience.
• Ability to manage assigned areas and responsibilities.
• Strong team player with flexibility in work timings and allocations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
