Job summary

Sisco Jobs is seeking an experienced HSE Officer for Dubai projects. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining health, safety and environmental standards across sites and facilities in accordance with UAE regulations.

You will conduct risk assessments, audits and training, manage incident investigations, and ensure proper reporting, PPE availability, emergency plans, and liaison with authorities to sustain a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on HSE experience in construction, engineering, oil & gas, infrastructure or related industry (UAE/GCC experience preferred).
• NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory; IOSH/OSHA or related HSE courses are a plus.
• Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, EHSMS frameworks and Dubai Municipality / Civil Defense safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures and guidelines in accordance with UAE laws and project requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor environmental aspects of operations and ensure sustainability and waste management compliance.
• Deliver toolbox talks, HSE training programs and awareness sessions for employees and subcontractors.
• Maintain accident/incident reports, investigate root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure all safety-related equipment, PPE and emergency systems are maintained and available at all times.
• Liaise with government authorities, consultants and external auditors regarding HSE matters, documentation and approvals.
• Monitor compliance with safe work practices and enforce disciplinary measures for safety violations.
• Develop and maintain emergency response procedures and coordinate drills.
• Prepare and submit regular HSE performance reports and compliance records to management.

Job Overview

Essential Qualifications

• NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory; additional certifications such as IOSH OSHA or related HSE courses are an added advantage.
  

• Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations EHSMS frameworks and Dubai Municipality / Civil Defense safety requirements.
