- Identify hazards linked to equipment movement, underground works, confined areas, material handling, traffic interfaces, excavation activities, and environmental conditions.
- Review and strengthen risk mitigation measures to reduce accident likelihood, health exposure, operational disruption, and environmental impact.
- Examine construction plans, specifications, method statements, and site procedures to identify safety risks before and during execution.
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, project standards, and approved safety plans.
- Develop, review, and oversee emergency response plans for incidents such as chemical spills, equipment failure, accidents, utility damage, or site emergencies.
- Coordinate with emergency services, authorities, project teams, and contractors to ensure timely response procedures are understood and ready for activation.
- Ensure safety compliance with relevant DM and RTA manuals across planning, construction, traffic management, and site execution phases.
- Review traffic diversion schemes for work zones and support safe public movement around active sewerage and stormwater construction areas.
- Monitor micro tunneling works and related sewer network activities to confirm safe work practices, access control, equipment operation, and site coordination.
- Inspect work areas, safety arrangements, signage, barriers, lifting operations, excavation controls, and environmental protection measures.
- Provide practical recommendations to improve site safety performance, contractor compliance, and risk control effectiveness.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, inspections, audits, incident reviews, and corrective action follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, inspection records, risk assessment files, emergency planning records, and compliance reports.
- Work closely with engineers, contractors, site supervisors, client representatives, and relevant authorities to resolve safety concerns promptly.
- Support a proactive safety culture by encouraging reporting, accountability, safe behavior, and continuous improvement across project teams.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Health and Safety Engineering.

- Ability to review plans, specifications, risk assessments, method statements, emergency response plans, and traffic diversion schemes.
- Strong understanding of environmental risks, equipment safety, material handling hazards, excavation risks, and emergency response coordination.
- Confident communication skills for dealing with contractors, engineers, authorities, site teams, and emergency service stakeholders.
- Detail‑oriented approach with the ability to identify hazards, challenge unsafe practices, and recommend practical corrective actions.
