Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Safety Manager / EHS Construction Manager to lead Health, Safety and Environment on-site across complex construction projects in the United Arab Emirates. You will collaborate with partners, report to senior leaders, and drive best-in-class EHS processes to protect personnel and the project.

The role requires extensive EHS experience in construction, strong communication skills, and the ability to perform audits and risk assessments.

Overview

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Collaborate with key partners to build a Health, Safety and Environment culture across the project by implementing best-in-class processes and focusing on continual improvement
• Communicate EHS activities to all key players including the executive leadership team
• Conduct internal audits and provide support for non-conformances and continuous improvements
• Establish key performance indicators to monitor quality and share on-going results via dashboards
• Review and challenge the suitability and implementation of the EHS plan
• Maintain a strong daily field presnece through routine inspections, safety walks and targeted audits
• Oversee projects and support functions to ensure that EHS processes and procedures are being utilized
• Participate in risk reviews, identifying and managing potential EHS risks across

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Are happy to be based full time on site for the duration of the construction phase
• Have developed EHS experience over at least 10 years, in construction and project management organisations, ideally in client rep role, across a range of sectors and technologies
• Have experience in contractor management, field assurance, high risk contruction and incident investigation. Data centre/mission critial construction experience strongly preferred
• Have sound knowledge of all elements of Health, Safety and Environment Management
• Have formal H&S qualification with demonstrable environmental management competence/qualification appropriate to construction, including environmental compliance.
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline
• Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing
