Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Project Director (Data Centre Construction) to lead delivery of complex data centre projects across multiple stages. You will manage client relationships, cross-functional teams, and governance to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes.

With 15+ years of industry experience and substantial senior leadership exposure in the GCC/Middle East, you will drive project controls, risk reporting, and stakeholder alignment while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant industry experience with at least 5 years in senior Project Director/Programme Director roles on major complex projects.
• Ideally 5+ years of Data Center / mission-critical experience.
• Experience delivering large-scale projects in GCC/Middle East with regional delivery context.

• Manage client projects and project teams to meet schedule and budget requirements.

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Lead the delivery of data centre construction projects across various stages, contributing to planning, coordination, execution, and completion activities as required.
• Expertly manage client projects and project teams, ensuring all deliverables are achieved in line with schedule and budget requirements.
• Manage schedules, budgets, risks, procurement needs, and overall resource coordination appropriate to the project phase.
• Lead a high standard of governance and reporting, managing programme, risk, change, commercial performance, executive reporting and decision‑making.
• Participate in meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities to maintain alignment, resolve issues early, and help ensure scope, quality, and safety objectives are met.
• Act as a central communication point for the client and project stakeholders, providing clear updates and supporting effective, timely decision‑making.
• Build strong working relationships across engineering, design, procurement, construction, validation, and regulatory teams to support smooth project progression.
• Review capital funding requests and project stage gates to ensure compliance with standards and that cost and schedule efficiencies are being realised.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, sector‑specific requirements, and commissioning expectations.
• Visible site leader to monitor progress, safety practices, and overall project performance.
• Coordinate snagging, issue resolution, and close‑out activities depending on the stage of involvement.
• Prepare or drive the delivery of reports, dashboards, risk logs, and change trackers to support visibility and informed decision‑making.
• Apply project procedures and participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the team.

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have 15+ years’ relevant industry experience, with at least 5 years in senior Project Director / Programme Director-level roles on major complex projects. Ideally 5+ years of Data Center / mission‑critical experience.
• Are experienced in delivering large-scale/hyperscale or mission‑critical projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Have GCC/Middle East experience, with a good understanding of regional delivery, authority, contractor and consultant environments.
• Have proven experience leading a large multidisciplinary PMC team, including project management, commercial, construction, MEP, planning and commissioning functions.
• Are experienced working with Tier 1 international developers, consultants and contractors, ideally within highly structured project governance environments.
• Possess strong international client-facing experience – comfortable operating with senior stakeholders across multiple countries, cultures and time zones.
• Have a strong technical and delivery understanding of Data Centers, particularly MEP‑intensive delivery, commissioning, integration and operational-readiness requirements.
• Can demonstrat the ability to drive consultants and contractors, challenge performance constructively and maintain accountability against programme, cost, quality and safety objectives.
• Are an excellent communicator and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely at both project and executive level.
• Demonstrate an international and collaborative leadership style – able to lead diverse teams and work effectively within the client's global standards, processes and culture.
• Are xommercially astute, with a strong understanding of contracts, change management, procurement strategy and project controls.
• Are comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, demanding client environment, with the ability to prioritise, make decisions and escallate issues appropriately.
