Role Context

The Room Attendant is directly responsible for the condition and presentation of assigned guest rooms. Clean bathrooms, fresh linen, replenished amenities, organized guest supplies, and attention to small details all contribute to the quality of the guest stay and the hotel 's overall housekeeping performance. Key Responsibilities

• Collect the daily assignment sheet from the Housekeeping office before beginning room duties.
• Review instructions and guest requests communicated by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Attend section briefings and housekeeping communication meetings as scheduled.
• Prepare the housekeeping trolley with sufficient guest amenities, cleaning supplies, minibar items, and clean linen.
• Check assigned rooms displaying Make Up Room requests and prioritize service accordingly.
• Record rooms displaying Do Not Disturb signs and respect guest privacy requirements.
• Recheck applicable Do Not Disturb rooms before the end of the shift according to hotel procedures.
• Enter and leave guest rooms in accordance with established housekeeping and privacy standards.
• Acknowledge guests promptly with professional eye contact, courteous greetings, and attentive service.
• Stop non-urgent tasks when necessary to assist guests requiring immediate attention.
• Clean guest bathrooms thoroughly, including walls, bathtubs, fixtures, and surrounding surfaces.
• Inspect bathtubs and bathroom areas carefully for hair, marks, or remaining cleanliness issues.
• Replace used towels with fresh linen according to room standards.
• Replenish guest bathroom amenities and supplies accurately.
• Report plumbing, electrical, air-conditioning, furniture, or other maintenance defects to Housekeeping.
• Make beds according to established hotel presentation standards.
• Inspect bed linen carefully and replace any item showing stains, marks, hair, or other defects.
• Clean and organize bedrooms to ensure rooms are ready for guest use.
• Refill stationery, matches, and other designated room supplies.
• Replenish minibar items according to established room setup requirements.
• Check flowers and remove any that are no longer suitable for guest presentation.
• Wash flower vases and replace flowers as required.
• Maintain the correct placement and presentation of guest room items.
• Report exposed guest valuables immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Avoid unnecessary handling of guest personal belongings.
• Keep housekeeping service areas orderly during the shift.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are returned to their designated locations at the end of the day.
• Remove or report any item that could create a safety hazard in housekeeping service areas.
• Complete assigned rooms and related duties within scheduled operating requirements.
• Communicate outstanding tasks, room issues, guest instructions, and relevant information to the next shift or supervisor.
• Maintain professional conduct and follow hotel grooming standards during all guest interactions.
• Cooperate with housekeeping colleagues and supervisors to support efficient room turnaround.
