Job summary

Decision Management Consultants LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager - Roll Shop in Abu Dhabi for a leading metal and steel manufacturer. You will support the Roll Shop Manager in daily operations, maintenance planning, and quality control, while ensuring IMS compliance and safety.

You will coordinate with production, mechanical, QC, and PPC teams, supervise roll grinding and assembly, monitor wear, maintain records, and drive continuous improvement in efficiency and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in rolling mill operations, Roll Shop maintenance, or similar manufacturing environment.
• Experience supervising maintenance teams and coordinating with cross-functional departments.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Good communication and commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Roll Shop Manager in daily operations and maintenance activities.
• Plan and supervise roll grinding, assembly, disassembly and changes.
• Ensure roll availability and tool inventory aligns with production schedules.
• Monitor roll performance and maintenance to reduce costs.
• Support safety, quality, IMS compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
