Job summary

Parsons in Dubai is seeking a skilled BIM/CAD Technician (Roads) to support design and drafting activities. You will work with the BIM Lead and design engineers to deliver compliant drawings for road projects, from rough sketches to detailed models.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of UAE/MEA CAD drafting experience in roads and a strong command of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D and Navisworks. Knowledge of ProjectWise and BIM360 is a plus; English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years UAE/MEA CAD drafting experience in roads/highways and traffic studies.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D and Navisworks; ProjectWise/BIM360 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure policy compliance and timely delivery.
• Develop drawings from sketches and information per established standards.
• Manage BIM activities from project start to finish.
• Review drawings for readability and QA/QC adherence.
• Create parametric and non-parametric families.
• Apply knowledge of LOD requirements.
• Coordinate with other disciplines on model development.
• Use Navisworks for clash detection and clash reports.
• Produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model.
