Job summary

Parsons Corporation in Dubai seeks a BIM-CAD Specialist - Highway with 8–10 years' experience to support highway design through advanced BIM modeling, CAD drafting, and multidisciplinary coordination. You will guide junior modelers and help deliver digital design using Civil 3D and Navisworks.

Parsons Corporation is seeking a BIM-CAD Specialist - Highway in Dubai, UAE to support highway design packages through advanced BIM modeling, CAD drafting, multidisciplinary coordination, and digital design delivery. The role requires substantial experience with Civil3D, AutoCAD, Common Data Environment workflows, LOD requirements, model coordination, and engineering drawing production, along with the ability to guide junior modeling staff and support projects from BIM startup through completion.

What You 'll Be Doing

• Prepare and support drafting assignments for highway design packages and related design activities.
• Maintain regular coordination with other departments and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
• Communicate with management, engineering, and production teams on technical and non-technical modeling matters.
• Use Civil 3D and Dynamo in support of modeling and design delivery requirements.
• Supervise junior modeling staff and provide guidance on BIM and CAD activities.
• Advise senior management and production staff on relevant modeling and digital delivery matters.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical training material.
• Apply Common Data Environment practices to model production and information management.
• Work closely with the Roads Digital Design and Delivery Lead, Engineering Leads, and Senior Drafter to maintain compliance with established project policies and processes.
• Develop engineering drawings including basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, and component details using sketches and general engineering and design information.
• Manage BIM-related activities from project startup through project completion.
• Review drawings for readability, presentation quality, and compliance with established standards and company QA-QC processes.
• Create parametric and non-parametric content as required for model development.
• Apply appropriate Level of Development requirements throughout BIM workflows.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to address model development and coordination issues.
• Use Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection and preparation of clash reports.
• Produce schedules and quantity extractions from project models.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with the position when appropriate.

Required Skills and Experience

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of related work experience.
• Alternatively, Bachelor 's degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
• AutoCAD experience is required.
• Very good working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Very good knowledge of Dynamo.
• Experience with Common Data Environment platforms including ProjectWise and BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Good understanding of BIM processes and LOD requirements.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Capability to supervise BIM Modelers and BIM Analysts.
• Proficient understanding of engineering principles and their application to modeling assignments.
• Ability to apply modeling principles, techniques, and analysis methods to complex assignments and plans.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• In-depth understanding of advanced modeling principles and their practical application.

Desired Technical Skills

• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D and OpenRoads is preferred.
• Knowledge of Navisworks and MicroStation is also desirable for supporting model coordination, clash detection, highway design, and multidisciplinary digital delivery.

Role Scope

This position combines highway CAD production with advanced BIM coordination and technical oversight. The specialist will contribute to drawing and model quality, digital design workflows, multidisciplinary coordination, CDE management, and the supervision of junior BIM personnel while working closely with Parsons engineering and digital delivery teams.
