Role Context The Resident Engineer - Landscape Infrastructure will take senior responsibility for field engineering and construction supervision across landscape and associated infrastructure works. The position combines technical leadership, contractor oversight, project controls, resource planning, quality management, safety coordination, and direct engagement with the client and design teams. The role is critical to ensuring that construction progresses in accordance with approved designs, specifications, authority requirements, budgets, and programme commitments. Strong leadership will also be required to coordinate engineering personnel, resolve site issues, manage priorities, and maintain effective communication between contractors, consultants, authorities, and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, supervise, and monitor field engineering activities across landscape and infrastructure construction works.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and technical resources are available to support project requirements and construction schedules.
  • Provide guidance on scope, programme requirements, construction procedures, site challenges, and technical matters.
  • Establish staffing requirements and contribute to budget estimates for assigned engineering activities.
  • Maintain effective field quality control processes to verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor contractor workmanship, construction methods, and adherence to project quality requirements.
  • Review contractor performance against approved schedules and agreed construction milestones.
  • Coordinate closely with project design engineers to resolve technical issues and clarify construction requirements.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with client representatives, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
  • Oversee project control documentation including drawings, specifications, change orders, back-charge records, and related construction information.
  • Monitor design revisions and ensure field teams work from current approved documents.
  • Support NOC processes and coordination with relevant Dubai government authorities.
  • Oversee commissioning requirements and ensure applicable procedures are followed during project completion.
  • Provide technical advice on field engineering procedures and construction methodologies.
  • Advise management on construction priorities, resource requirements, programme concerns, and financial matters.

Ideal Profile

Candidates should hold a Bachelor 's degree in Civil Engineering, Agriculture Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university. A minimum of 15 years of overall professional experience is required, with substantial involvement in construction supervision of major infrastructure and landscape projects in the UAE. Experience within Dubai is strongly preferred because the position requires practical familiarity with government authority requirements and local approval processes.
