Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Freelance Editor to review, refine, and improve written content across a range of projects. This fully remote role requires strong language skills, editorial judgment, and the ability to manage assignments independently.

You will work with writers and marketers to ensure content is accurate, engaging, and on-brand for international audiences, while meeting deadlines and maintaining consistency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional editing, proofreading, writing, or content experience.
• Strong command of written English with excellent grammar and language skills.
• Familiarity with digital publishing and remote collaboration tools.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Edit and refine articles, reports, business content, website copy, and other materials.
• Review content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, tone, and consistency.
• Improve structure, readability, flow, and editorial quality.
• Follow style, formatting, and brand guidelines.
• Fact-check information and identify any unclear or unsupported content.
• Collaborate with writers, content creators, marketers, and stakeholders on revisions.
• Provide constructive editorial feedback to improve content quality and effectiveness.
• Manage multiple assignments, revisions, and deadlines across projects.
• Maintain consistent terminology, voice, and standards throughout materials.
• Suggest ideas to improve content workflows and publishing quality.
