Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a creative Video Editor to turn raw footage into polished videos across social formats, ads, and educational content. You will balance storytelling, pacing, and branding. The role requires 2+ years of editing experience and a strong portfolio, with proficiency in Premiere Pro/Resolve or Final Cut.

You’ll work remotely with multiple projects and stay ahead of platform trends, while collaborating with the brand team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional video editing experience.
• Strong portfolio showing both creative and technical editing.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
• Experience editing short-form social media content.
• Strong storytelling, pacing, hooks, and viewer retention.
• Experience with captions, motion graphics, B-roll, transitions, and sound design.
• Color correction and audio editing knowledge.
• Ability to structure raw footage into an engaging final video.
• Attention to detail and quality control.
• Follow brand guidelines and maintain consistency.
• Organizational and file-management skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects remotely.
• Nice to have After Effects or motion graphics software.
• Experience creating paid social/video ads.
• Experience editing podcasts or talking-head content.
• Experience creating thumbnails or basic graphics (Photoshop/Canva).
• Understanding of YouTube analytics and performance metrics.
• Experience using AI-assisted video editing tools.

Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into polished videos aligned with brand guidelines.
• Create engaging short-form content for social platforms.
• Edit long-form content such as YouTube videos, interviews, webinars.
• Build hooks and pacing to improve viewer engagement.
• Add captions, graphics, transitions, sound effects, and music.
• Perform color correction and color grading for consistency.
• Clean, mix, and balance audio for professional output.
• Repurpose long-form footage into multiple shorts.
• Follow briefs and propose creative approaches.
• Organize project files and assets efficiently.
• Manage multiple editing projects and meet deadlines.
• Incorporate feedback without sacrificing quality.
• Stay current with social media editing trends.
