Job description

Job Description

Role Purpose: At OBT Group, the Regional Marketing Coordinator – Africa plays a key role in coordinating the day-to-day execution of marketing activity across our African offices.

Based at our Group Headquarters in Dubai and working closely with the HQ marketing team, this role acts as the day to day marketing contact for our teams across Africa, ensuring agreed marketing plans, brand standards, content requirements and communications are implemented consistently across the region.

This is a hands on coordination role with a strong focus on organisation, communication and follow through. The Regional Marketing Coordinator will support the established social media and content calendar, coordinate content from local operations, maintain marketing assets and stock records, manage relationships with photographers, videographers and local suppliers, and support exhibitions, events and roadshows.

The role requires someone who is naturally proactive and highly organised, with the ability to coordinate multiple countries, suppliers, and deadlines simultaneously. They will need to build strong working relationships with local teams, understand that ways of working can differ across markets, and confidently follow actions through to completion rather than waiting to be told what to do.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, PR or a related field.
  • Ideally 3–5 years of experience in a marketing coordination, communications, events or similar broad marketing role.
  • Experience supporting multiple areas of marketing, ideally including content, social media, brand coordination, events and supplier management.
  • Excellent written and verbal English, with strong grammar and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of French is a strong advantage but is not essential.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills, with confidence working with approved templates and creating clean, professional and on‑brand presentations.
  • Good working knowledge of LinkedIn, Facebook and other relevant social media channels.
  • Experience working with photographers, videographers, printers, event suppliers or other external partners.
  • Experience supporting exhibitions, events or roadshows, including practical coordination and on‑site setup.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple countries, suppliers, activities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proactive approach with the confidence to follow up with stakeholders and suppliers and drive actions through to completion.
  • Comfortable working across different countries, cultures, time zones and ways of working.
  • Experience working across Africa, emerging markets or a multi‑country international organisation would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel between OBT offices and events across Africa as required.
  • No previous shipping or logistics experience is required.

  • Coordinate with African offices to support delivery of the established Group social media and content calendar.
  • Proactively identify and collect operational stories, photographs, videos and business updates from local teams for use across social media, newsletters, PR and other marketing communications.
  • Identify, coordinate and develop relationships with reliable photographers and videographers across OBT’s African markets.
  • Brief photographers and videographers on OBT requirements and manage communication and follow‑up from initial briefing through to delivery of final content.
